Get ready, Brawlers! Ranked mode in Brawl Stars is making a big comeback with the update on February 25, 2025. After a short break during the Good Randoms season, it’s back with a competitive edge, new rewards, and exciting features.

Therefore, in this guide on Brawl Stars Ranked 2.0, we will go over all the major changes coming.

A New Competitive Edge

Brawl Stars Ranked 2.0 balances fun and challenge. A new “Pro” tier sits above Masters for top players, while Masters now has three sub-tiers (I, II, III), each needing 1,000 Elo. Moreover, Legendary tiers require 750 Elo each. Elo inflation is fixed: no floor protection for Mythic and above, so you can drop to Diamond if you slip. Wins give more Elo, but losses are tougher, and teaming with lower-ranked friends is limited.

This ranked update in Brawl Stars is also speeding up matchmaking for lower ranks and tightening for higher ones. Rank resets now drop Diamond 1+ players six minor ranks, while Gold 3 and below start at Silver 1.

Pro Pass: Your Ticket to Rewards

The new Brawl Stars Pro Pass is a four-month progression system linked to esports events like the Brawl Cup (May), Last Chance Qualifier (September), and World Finals (November). Earn Pro Pass XP by winning Ranked matches (weekly refresh), ranking up, or watching broadcasts on event.brawlstars.com (optional).

The free track offers better rewards, including a Legendary Starr Drop, while the $24.99 paid track (about $6.25 monthly) doubles XP and adds extras. Most players (95% of Ranked users) get a big rewards boost, though Masters see a smaller bump, making Ranked more appealing to all.

New Skins and Cosmetics

Check out the “Pro” skin rarity, starting with Colt. Upgrade these skins up to 11 times via Pro Pass or Ranked Drops (eight months after release) for visuals like special effects and hypercharge forms. The free track guarantees a Legendary skin each season, and the paid track unlocks animated Brawler Battle Cards. Ranked Drops now include more Profile Pictures, Pins, Sprays, and Skin Upgrade items.

Fresh Modes and Features

The Competitive Update in Brawl Stars will test a new mode monthly, starting with Cleaning Duty (reskinned Jelly Catch). Gadgets now have unlimited uses with cooldowns (7-30 seconds) and a new reduced cooldown Gear. Each season, try three maxed-out Brawlers in Ranked to experiment or fill gaps. Mythic+ requires 12 Power Level 11 Brawlers.

Visual and Quality-of-Life Updates

Ranked Update in Brawl Stars is bringing a sleek new look for 2025. Players can now get permanent Battle Cards, updated tier visuals, and customizable profile displays. You can now “heart” favorite Brawlers to prioritize them during the pick phase, and red/blue side spawn distances have been fixed for fairness. Seasons will launch on the third Thursday of each month, with the first Ranked 2.0 season running from February 25 to April 16, 2025.

Whether chasing the Pro tier or just wanting better rewards, Ranked 2.0 promises a more competitive, rewarding, and dynamic experience. Get ready to brawl!
